I’m offering some “shake your head” examples of code enforcers doing what they do. The victims in these stories were lucky: they either had a lawyer or a sympathetic judge. It would be better for there not to be code enforcers in the first place. We need to go back to the tried and true Common Law doctrine on torts. Judges shouldn’t hear a case unless there is a problem; not a made-up problem invented by a local bureaucrat.
